About the event
The New Prague Area Historical Society will be holding its annual meeting on Wednesday, April 26, at Giesenbrau Bier Co. Social hour starting at 6pm and the main program beginning at 7pm. A short organizational meeting will precede the main program. Our program will feature two speakers discussing Native American history in our area.
Society member Dennis Dvorak will share stories about settlers and Native Americans, including background and history of the St. Louis French Catholic Cemetery.
In addition to Dennis, Javi Avalos, the Curator and Collections Manager at Hocokata Ti’s, operated by the Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community, will discuss Native American traditions and the museum’s historical displays and collections.
