About the event

The historic mill is an imposing structure in New Prague, holding a past that has influenced the community in countless ways. As a place of employment for many locals who dedicated decades of their careers to flour milling, the prominent Bean family who started it in the late 1800’s, and its influence on our local community, The Mill opens its doors for history enthusiasts, community members, former employees, and all those interested in learning more about its story.

Hosted by the New Prague Area Historical Society, in partnership with The Mill, we invite you to experience the past and present—what the mill was from its founding in 1896, to what businesses call it home today, and the potential it has for additional life to be brought back into its walls!
